Great Salary Packaging Benefits Part-time 30 hrs per week Fixed Term to 30 June 2011 Located in Inala/Logan In this position you will provide a case management service to families at risk of homelessness, with the intention of building financial resilience and long-term stability for children. You will identify financial stressors and ensure connectivity with schools and support networks. Working in conjunction with our other programs in the region (e.g. Financial Counselling, Employment Plus, Welfare Centres) and other agencies, we endeavour to provide a full service to families at risk. Essential Requirements - A solid knowledge base of the principles and practices within social and community service operations.
- The ability to support and advocate during client engagements with other agencies.
- Demonstrated ability to working effectively with vulnerable families with a commitment to empowerment and strengths based actions.
- Capacity to work in a professional and independent work environment.
- Capacity and willingness to travel within the region and work collaboratively with internal and external agencies.
- A commitment to the accomplishment of the mission and values of The Salvation Army.
Desirable Qualifications - Tertiary qualifications in the Social Sciences.
- Experience in the housing and/or welfare assistance sector.
